The Organising Committee is pleased to announce funding assistance to selected delegates from developing nations with travel costs and Congress registration fees.
Congress Costs
Successful grant applicants will need to pay their travelling costs, and will be reimbursed to a maximum of AUD2000 at the Congress.
Payment of Grants
All grants will be paid in Australian Dollars (AUD) at the Congress registration desk.
Additional Benefits
The registration package includes:
- Attendance at scientific sessions and industry exhibition
- Opening Ceremony and Welcome Reception
- Satchel including program, Abstract CD Rom and list of delegates
- Morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea each day of the Congress.
Applications
Applications should be submitted as soon as possible, and before Friday 24 June 2011. Applicants should:
- Provide a brief curriculum vitae, not more than one (A4) page in length.
- Provide a statement of how attendance at GERO 2011 will benefit (a) your own work, (b) encourage the possibility of collaboration with colleagues in developed countries. This should be of no more than one (A4) page in length.
- Provide a letter of endorsement
- Indicate the anticipated cost of your travel to GERO Melbourne 2011 and the intended route.
These statements must be written in English.
Applications will be received until the closing date of Thursday, 30 June 2011.
Please register your interest and send your application as soon as possible, especially if you require visa approval to enter Australia.
