In addition to professionals, clinicians and academics, the 9th Asia/Oceanic Regional Congress Organizing Committee also wishes to invite international and local student and emerging researchers to the event. In keeping with the Congress theme “Ageing well together: Regional perspectives” we believe it is imperative we have the individuals present who will drive the ageing agenda in the Asia/Oceania region for years to come.

For those with academic drive who are passionate about gerontology and geriatrics, attendance at the 9th IAGG Asia/Oceania Regional Congress guarantees a first class scientific program, delivered by local and international experts in their field. The Congress boasts a significant program that offers networking opportunities and that aims to promote greater coverage of students' and emerging researchers' topics. Specifically, the Congress has an extensive program organised for students, including a dinner, seminars and other social events to ensure that networking opportunities with other emerging researchers is maximised. Hosted by the region’s most active student group, the Australian Association of Gerontology Student division, attendance at the 9th Asia/Oceanic Regional Congress promises students and emerging researchers an invaluable conference experience.
