All symposium authors have now been sent the outcome of their submission
Before submitting your symposium proposal for GERO2011 please ensure you have carefully read the symposium preparation guidelines detailed below.
These 90 minute symposia are opportunities to present a substantial body of research findings that incorporates debate and discussion regarding how this can drive change.
Symposia must be submitted under the following themes:
- Epidemiology, clinical practice and health
- Biological sciences
- Behavioural and social sciences
- Social research, planning and practice
Symposia Guidelines
- Each symposium would consist of 90 minutes of up to 4 presentations.
- Your symposium is an opportunity to present a substantial body of research findings that incorporates debate and discussion.
- Your symposium abstract must include title, aim, methods, findings and relevance to the conference theme.
- Your symposium abstract is to be a maximum of 300 words to describe the scientific content of the component presentations.
- Only symposia submitted in English will be reviewed.
- Symposia titles should have a short, descriptive title with no abbreviations.
- Symposia should be original work, not previously presented at an international meeting.
- Symposia descriptions may not contain tables, pictures, diagrams and symbols.
- All abbreviations in the text must be spelled out on first use.
- Symposia titles and descriptions should be thoroughly checked for spelling and grammar.
- All presenters will be required to register for the Congress and pay the registration fee.
- Symposium Organisers are encouraged to include speakers from across the region
